The mission of the Spearfish Soccer Association (SSA) is to promote a quality youth soccer program that provides a safe, age appropriate, and inclusive environment.  We are dedicated to helping youth develop a positive self-image, self-confidence, and soccer skills through their interest and participation in the game of soccer.

Spearfish Soccer Association is committed to “Total Player Development” as we try to teach our players a love for soccer, good sportsmanship, and strong values.

SSA soccer players apply the passion, drive, attitude, and commitment to his/her development for the betterment of self and team.  Our coaches teach the game of soccer consistent with our Technical Development Plan across all age groups, inspire our players, and encourage the highest possible performance out of every single player at every training session and every match.  We aim to get players to peak through their High School years.

Our goals very simply: (1) Enjoyment.  We recognize that there are many other activities kids could be doing, so the number one priority is to retain the players in the sport; (2) Develop high-quality soccer players, emphasizing long-term development at the younger ages instead of the “win now” mentality favored by some youth sports clubs; (3) Compete at high levels of play as teams get older.
