It is the intent of the Volunteer Policy to provide communication, direction, and accountability to the Member Families of SSA.  Each Family will be asked to work a minimum number of hours each year, expectations will be set by the Board and align with our volunteer opportunities available.

Volunteer opportunities include coaching, team management, and serving on executive committees, but perhaps our largest opportunity for volunteering will be assisting at our two indoor tournaments. The indoor soccer tournaments are our biggest source of income, and it allows us to keep registration fees low, provide the appropriate equipment and training to our coaches and maintain our soccer facilities throughout the year.

Indoor tournament volunteer positions:
Set up:
- Assisting with putting up nets and placing sandbags
- Assisting with Time Clock and Monitors
- Setting up the score tent and referee areas
- Taping lines for fields and placing goals
Registration:  Checking in teams by reviewing required documentation and handing out wristbands
Time Clock: Starting the time clock each half for auxiliary fields; ability to watch games as you work
Score keeper: Entering game scores from referee cards into the system
Awards: assist tournament director in handing out awards to 1st and 2nd place teams
Tear down: disassembling everything
